Natalia Smith
Company Apprentice
Natalia fell in love with dance at the age of two and graced the stage in her first performance when she was three years old. She spent 14 years at Coupe Theater Studio, in Nanuet New York, diligently studying ballet, modern, tap, jazz, HipHop, musical theater, and pointe. She spent winters preparing for and performing various rolls in The Nutcracker, and in the spring she sang and danced in Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble’s annual musical theater showcase. At the age of 16, Natalia began dancing with Anita Ehrler’s Dance Extensions, and participated in dance competitions and conventions multiple times a year.
In 2023, Natalia graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography. She performed numerous student works, as well as classical and contemporary pieces with the Towson University Dance Company. Natalia made her professional debut as a company member with Deep Vision Dance Company, directed by Nicole Martinell, for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. Most recently, she performed a solo choreographed by Alison Seidelstricker at the National Dance Society 10th Anniversary Annual Conference in Columbia, South Carolina. Natalia is ecstatic to be performing her first season with Ballet Embody and is eager to continue cultivating and sharing her love for dance on and off the stage.
